Devlog Update Alister

I use your graphics constantly for my programming language, but why on your tile sets do you use purple backgrounds instead of transparent? It would help a lot. I use a programming language called scratch, and I am a serious beginner.

Even when i wanted to, i cannot provide all graphics in all formats for all needs, sorry. It`s your job to fit the graphics to your needs. Keep in mind that some of them are over 10 years old now. And it was not common to use alphachanneled graphics in games when i made those 2d graphics 🙂

It’s okay, I just can’t get them exactly how a want. I downloaded your Arunderan game, and It is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I bet you could sell it for anywhere from 30 to 50 dollars.

Curtis, one method I use to make areas of an image transparent, is to use the image program called Irfanview (www.irfanview.ca/) a freely available image viewer. It does MUCH more than view images and can manipulate them in many ways. What I do is I resave the images as PNGs, I selection the option to save the transparent area of the image, it will then ask you to click on the image to select the colour that is transparent, you click it and voila, you have that area transparent. You can then resave it in whatever format you prefer (I prefer PNGs for my games). You can also use graphic editing software like GIMP and Photoshop to change the background to transparent, but Irfanview does a nice job.
