Nachdem ich gestern wieder einige Probleme mit dem Server hatte, er stand mal wieder still, habe ich das Forum gelöscht um ein wenig mehr Bandbreite für meine restliche Seite zu erhalten. Der WordPress Teil bietet genug Möglichkeiten für Kommentare. Was das Forum überflüssig macht, und mir auch noch die Zeit erspart das Ding immer auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten und auf Spammer zu checken. Das Forum wurde in den letzten Monaten sowieso nur noch sehr selten benutzt.

You know it better… But I am afraid of spammers taking mail accounts. This already is spammed heavly after I registered to blogspot…
And also there was interesting information in the forum.
It was no easy decision. The forum did its job for a pretty long time. And yes, there was a fair amount of useful information in there. But it was really quiet for around three or four years now. Besides spambots and stuff. And as told, the WordPress frontend provides with a way to give feedback too. Which makes the forum obsolete as the place to give feedback. Sometimes it`s simply time to let go.
The forum is not completely lost. Everything is backupped. Maybe i reactivate it at one point. Who knows.
The problem is my webspace is very limited nowadays. I don`t have the money for a stronger server. And the best setup cannot replace enough ram. So i have to think twice what to keep up, and what to remove. With the forum i had the feeling that it was just a few keywords that forced the masses to surf by. Keywords that didn`t belong to my page really.
Hm, email adress. You need to enter it when you want to post a comment. But it is not visible to the public. So don`t worry. I cannot leave everything blank. Else too much spammers would decide to post, and would make me too much work 🙂
