I have archived the latest news from my old page here. It`s just around one year, because i always deleted older news. Nevertheless, here we go.

That`s one of the benefits of WordPress now. I don`t need to cut away the news anymore to keep the page small enough.


8.3.2011 – Forum and other Problems 2

I have finally found and fixed the error in the forum. A javascript file was corrupted. Now

the BB buttons works again.

But now we have another problem. The banner advertisements are hiding the menu. The only way around is currently to hit F5 again and again until a advertisement appears that does not hide the menu.

I am working at the problem. But i cannot say how long it takes to fix this one. Sorry for the inconvenience.

2.3.2011 – New 3D Meshes

A soldier in three outfits, and a pistol and a gun. The pistol is a double, because it is also in the holster of the soldier.

This one was a very time consuming task, as always when it comes to character design. But such a soldier was one of those things that i wanted to do since years. So it was worth the work. Have fun with it πŸ™‚

The forum is back online. But i wasn`t able to fix the error that caused all the trouble. The BB code buttons are still disfunctional. Inserting the BB code by hand works though.


28.2.2011 – Forum Problems

The forum is currently down

I found out that one of the last updates seems to have damaged something. Inserting BB codes stopped working. While trying to figure out where this one comes from i have shot down the forum it seems. Reuploading the backup failed. Seems that i have to reinstall PHPBB3. Nasty!

Even nastier is that i probably have deleted some vital files. The data of the page and the forum are save, i never work without backup. I am just not this sure if still everything is online πŸ™‚

I have unfortunately no clue how long it takes until everything is back working as thought. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This pack contains all graphics that i have used for the gamel Parcel GT

I have also finally changed the name of this subcategory. 2D Graphics / Misc was formerly 2D Graphics / Gamemenu. It was about time to change the name of this subcategory because it contains much more than just graphics for a game menu since a pretty while.


11.1.2011 – Parcel GT Vollversion

Parcel GT has finally got some more bug fixes and a few small reconstructions. I hope i have catched them all now. I cannot find any more bugs or quirks, and declare the current version to the full version. I will release a point upgrade then in case there should some more bugs appear.

I have submitted the game to the Mochi platform. This means the flash version has an online highscore now. But there is also a standalone version to download. Have fun πŸ™‚


3.1.2011 – Parcel GT Beta 2

My little flashgame has made big progress in the last weeks. The name has changed from Transporter to Parcel GT. The game is in Beta stage now, and it is online playable. Some things are still missing. That`s why it is beta. I wish you nevertheless fun with it πŸ™‚

Some high poly fragments from an experiment. They don`t really fit to the rest because they have ways too much polygons. But they look too good to trash them. So i upload them nevertheless πŸ™‚


30.8.2010 – New 3D Mesh – Rudi

Rudi. A sack race sportsman. It is made of several parts. Eyes, teeth and bag are separate pieces. It is easier to rig that way. And i doubt anyways that somebody except me really needs the bag. It is nevertheless included πŸ™‚

This character is also the point where i finally migrate to Blender 2.5. At least for the parts where Blender is the better app. The bones system is such a part. Finally a really working solution. Even when it`s a bit hard to rig and to animate. I also quarrel a bit with the Blender internal render engine. No GI yet. But it could be worse πŸ™‚

And i have found a new hobby. Writing Blender Bug reports, hehe πŸ™‚

I had forgotten to turn off a debug feature. It was possible to reset the high score. Fixed. Sorry in case you lost an important high score that way πŸ™‚

And here comes the snail. The zipfile contains all texture variations for the game, plus the meshes as low poly and as SDS versions. Animations are missing. The rig is not exportable. It gets destroyed while export.

My first flash game. Something very simple. Try to reach the goal as fast as possible, by pressing spacebar as fast as possible.

At the upper border of the playfield you can see what the cabbage was good for. I will upload the snails in the next days too. I skip the beta stage, i think i`ve catched everything this time πŸ™‚

No more quirk in Halo remover found. And no reports about bugs or quirks neither. So i declare the latest version 1.0.1 to the Full version. Have fun πŸ™‚

I`ve started a little test project to learn the basics of Unity 3D. A little flight simulator. It`s finished enough that you can takeoff, fly around and land.


1.3.2010 – New Tutorial – Unity Blob Shadow Tutorial

I am still at learning the basics of Unity. And this will last a while. This hasn`t stopped me from making a first tutorial for Unity. The tutorial covers the Projector Blob Shadows. There`s quite a few things you need to take into account until they do what they should.

The tutorial comes as a flash video. Which is another new thing at my page. I hope you like it πŸ™‚


14.2.2010 – Linkfixes + Simple Alphachanneler Full

Samuel has pointed me to some wrong working links. Affected was some stuff in the 3D Graphics / Misc section, and the leaf textures in the Texture section. Many thanks for the report. Should be fixed now πŸ™‚

While still at it, and because the tool does what it should, i declare the current version of Simple Alphachanneler to the full version.

Further roadmap: on with learning Unity. I still plan to do a 3D game in the future πŸ™‚


5.2.2010 – New Category – Textures

What`s 3d withouth textures? Correct. That`s why i have prepared and collected my self-made/self-pictured textures, and opened a new category for it. It can be found in 3D graphics.

It`s not this much. And it`s not my goal to rival with pages like CGtextures or Mayang. But there are nevertheless above 90 textures available now. Have fun πŸ™‚

27.1.2010 – Forum maintenance

The work is nearly done. The move to PHPBB3 was successful, and the new forum is online. I have, while at it, also corrected some old mistakes. The number of categories has shrinked a bit.

The link to the forum has changed. You should change your bookmarks in case you had bookmarked the forum

EDIT, Forum removed.

The old forum is still available, the categories are closed though. And the old forum will disappear within a short time period. I just keep it online as a last backup until eveything is finally resolved and can`t go wrong anymore.


26.1.2010 – Forum maintenance

I have decided to upgrade my forum software from PHPBB2 to PHPBB3 because of Spambot problems. The old PHPBB2, which i currently use, is out of development since eons, and so there is no way to make it secure again.

I have switched the forum into a read only modus until the conversion is done. I keep my fingers crossed that everything works as thought …

I found and fixed one last little problem. And i have implemented a missing sample. The game over had no sound. More bugs weren`t reported, and i haven`t found anything more to fix neither. So Johnny Divoe goes full version. It can be found in the games section now.

Found something more to fix. A user reported about trouble that you cannot adjust the volume of the sounds. Currently you were just able to adjust the volume of the gamesong. Implemented now.

Means the game stays in beta for a few more days πŸ™‚

I have reuploaded the divermesh. Problems with Gimp. Again and again this graphics software traps me by its automatically generated 32 bit. Like in this case. Whoosh, bitmap texture has 32 Bit. The texture is 24 bit now again.
